Change is a process!  Aligning to new frameworks and rethinking Middle School Science and Engineering is a process that must involve teachers and administrators alike and takes time. This session is an opportunity to learn from our experience through both the administrator and teacher perspectives.  We’ll share our process for building the need to change, professional development to inform teachers and their classroom practice, and our rationale for aligning to the new Massachusetts Frameworks as outlined by DESE.  Learn about our work constructing storylines which were used to evaluate and develop curriculum, our current work on articulation from 6th grade to 8th grade, and the transition to 9th grade.  Leave with an understanding of our process and work that could serve as a template for other districts.
